Alexandru Cârstoiu is the Chief Operating Officer of LOOK SMART, bringing more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of corporate management, strategic consulting, and operational transformation. He leads the firm's operational agenda — translating strategy into execution and delivering results that endure beyond the engagement itself.
Throughout his career, he has held senior executive roles in leading Romanian organizations — including more than 17 years within Țiriac Group, one of the country's largest privately-held conglomerates — across corporate governance, multi-site operations, information security, post-merger integration, internal audit, and business digitalization. His experience spans 13+ industries — from banking and financial services, IT&C, and information security to construction, manufacturing, automotive, aviation, real estate, and the non-profit sector — giving him a cross-functional and cross-sector depth rare in the Romanian consulting market.
What distinguishes Alexandru is his ability to integrate diverse business functions into coherent, high-performing systems. Combining analytical rigor with hands-on execution, he operates not only as a strategist, but as a builder of organizational structures, processes, and capabilities that endure over time. His credentials reflect this dual orientation: PRINCE2 Practitioner, certified CISO, PMI member, certified Trainer and Life Coach.
In parallel, he serves as Associate Lecturer at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), holding the chairs of Human Resources Audit and Work Quality Analysis.
